Darius Lerup

Darius Lerup is a third-year PhD student in the department of French researching the intersection between Georges Bataille, Jean-Luc Nancy and Gilles Deleuze in philosophy, literature, and film. Specifically, his project aims to bring together the Nancean social ethics of Being-with-each-other and the Deleuzian eco-immanence of Being-for-the-world in the formal textual and cinematographic feature of the ellipsis. Recently, Darius completed two terms as a visiting student in the department of Cinema and Media Studies at the University of Chicago during which he worked with D. N. Rodowick among others, and is an assistant editor of World Picture.
