Lucy Bollington

Lucy Bollington is a PhD student at the Centre of Latin American Studies. Her PhD is a study of the intersections of power, death and posthumanism in Mexican cinematic and literary culture from 1990 to the present. Her thesis dialogues with the thought of Georges Bataille, Giorgio Agamben, Achille Mbembe and Roberto Esposito, and examines films by directors such as Amat Escalante and Carlos Reygadas. Lucy is also interested in the occult Mexican cinema of Alejandro Jodorowsky.
