About: 

Marian is responsible for the Spanish, Latin American, Portuguese and Catalan collections. She is also responsible for helping organise and co-deliver information literacy sessions that can range from search tips and multitasking to presentation skills. She is very happy to receive suggestions for purchasing items for her collections, as well as to help out with both research enquiries and more general questions relating to access and optimisation of resources in her languages. She is interested in wellbeing and she co-runs the Award Winning Cambridge Ecofiction Bookgroup which takes places in different libraries around the university. 

Marian worked for many years in Oxford libraries, but her most recent professional background is in publishing and creative writing. She has recently completed a PhD in Creative Writing, and she is a published fiction writer. She has also published academic writing on Spanish and Latin American female writers (Carmen Martin Gaite, Rita Indiana, Samantha Schweblin), and on Spanish and Latin American indie publishing.
