Sea of Plastic, by Felipe Schuery

Sea of Plastic is a children's story written and illustrated by Felipe Schuery. It was translated into English from Portuguese and narrated by the brilliant Hannah Shakespeare, who graduated in Cambridge in 2019 and won the Ann Waterfall Award 2019 for the best student of Portuguese in the UK, the most prestigious prize of its kind for students doing Lusophone studies.

Synopsis

Anyfish and Everyfish lived in the cleanest waters on Planet Earth. When the first plastic bag arrived, they thought the current would take it away, but it brought more rubbish every day. Would swallowing the sea of plastic save the ocean floor? Burp!
