About:
Samuel Goff’s research examines the intersection of visual and physical culture in the early Soviet Union, with an emphasis on cinema, sport, and the connections between avant-garde and Stalinist aesthetics. He received his PhD from the University of Cambridge before working for several years as an editor at The Calvert Journal.
Teaching interests:
Twentieth-century Russian/Soviet culture and history; teaching for papers SL1/SLA3, SL7, SL14, and CS5.
