Anna has a wide range of interests and expertise in the area of language and linguistics. She holds an MPhil and PhD in Linguistics from the University of Cambridge. Her PhD thesis was concerned with the role of the syntactic representation of a sentence in a cognitively valid theory of meaning. It involved a contrastive empirical study of communicative and interpretative strategies used by speakers of Russian and English. Anna is also a qualified translator with translating experience in the areas of medicine and humanities.
