LibGuides are online resources created by Cambridge librarians to share information about the services they offer and help you get the most out of our collections. The MMLL Library maintains three LibGuides:

Reading Lists Online
Reading Lists Online provide easy access to your course reading lists. They show the location and availability of print books and link to electronic books, articles and websites, videos and digitised chapters.

Ebooks
The University of Cambridge has access to more than 1.75 million ebooks from a wide variety of publishers and over 65 ebook platforms. Most ebooks are licensed for Cambridge University members only and require a University account for access outside of the University network.
Ebook functionality varies from platform to platform. The ebooks LibGuide includes useful information and tips for making the best use of them.
Ejournals
The University provides access to thousands of electronic and print journals, which you can access from the dedicated journals catalogue.
The BrowZine platform allows you to browse scholarly journals available for University users by title and subject area and create your own journal and article library.
Databases
The A-Z Databases webpage offers access to hundreds of databases, digital archive collections, and primary sources, also in different languages and useful for varied subject areas.
Electronic Legal Deposit
The University Library's has legal deposit status, meaning that it receives a copy of every book published in the UK. Some material is provided as an ebook. These are shown on iDiscover with a red note saying, 'Electronic Legal Deposit' (ELD). This material can be accessed in designated computers across Cambridge. The MMLL Library's terminal sits on the second floor of the library.
Please be aware that with ELD:
- Only one concurrent user is possible at a time per book
- It is not possible to download, email, copy and paste, or take screenshots
