Mallinson MPhil Studentship in Literature, Culture and Thought (LCT)

Clare College will make one postgraduate award to support a student reading for an MPhil in Literature, Culture and Thought in the Faculty of Modern and Medieval Languages and Linguistics in the academic year 2026-27. The award will fund 100% of the costs of the course (fees and maintenance) at the Home students’ rate for the duration of the course (9 months). Both Home and Overseas students are eligible to apply, though Overseas students will be expected to supplement the Mallinson award (as the Overseas fees rate is higher).

To be eligible, applicants should indicate that they wish to be considered for funding via the Postgraduate Applicant Portal (for details including deadlines please see the 'Funding' section of the University’s Postgraduate Admissions website). There is no need to complete a separate application form, but applicants must ensure that they have applied by the central funding deadline in early January. Please note: applicants are not required to indicate Clare College as their first-choice college, but must transfer to Clare as a condition of accepting the Mallinson studentship.

Clare College will aim to notify the successful applicant by March 2026.
