MMLL Alumna Debuts on BBC Radio 3
We are delighted to share that MMLL alumna Jade Cuttle (BBC New Generation Thinker 2024) has made her debut as a radio presenter on BBC Radio 3, interviewing her first supervisor of Russian Literature at Cambridge, Dr Alyson Tapp(Clare Hall).
In the programme, Jade explores the inspiring parallels between the Russian steppe and the Cambridge fens, reflecting on how landscapes can shape creativity. She also interviews her current Cambridge PhD supervisor, highlighting how her experiences with MMLL courses and faculty inspired her AHRC-funded nature poetry research.

Clare Hall also published a short story about Jade’s research journey, which you can read here.
Excitingly, Jade will be presenting two further Radio 3 programmes next year following her PhD submission, including a feature reflecting on Vladimir Nabokov’s Bend Sinister and the idea of “literary puddles,” once again connecting with Dr Tapp.
We are thrilled to celebrate Jade’s achievements and look forward to sharing more about her upcoming broadcasts!
