The Cambridge Language Collective has announced the questions for its fifth annual Schools’ Essay Competition. The competition has become a central part of the Collective’s work, building a strong reputation and attracting hundreds of submissions from schools across the UK each year.
The competition is divided into four categories: Politics, Philosophy, Literature, and Film & Art, with questions available for both:
- Junior Category: Years 10–11 (maximum 700 words)
- Senior Category: Years 12–13 (maximum 900 words)
The Schools’ Essay Competition offers students an opportunity to engage critically and creatively with ideas across languages, culture, and the humanities.
Submission deadline: Friday 31 July 2026, 12pm.
