About
Jenny Mander researches and teaches eighteenth-century French thought and literature and modern critical theory, particularly theories of reading and narratology. She is the author of Circles of learning: a study of first person narrative and the early eighteenth-century French novel(Studies on Voltaire, 1999), and is currently working on eighteenth-century colonialism and involved in a critical edition of the Histoire des deux Indes. She is a co-organiser of an international conference on Raynal's Histoire philosophique des deux Indes to be held at Newnham College on 1-3 July 2010.
Professor Mander welcomes inquiries from potential MPhil and PhD students with research interests relevant to her interests.
