Supervisor: Professor Sarah Colvin
Kim is part of the Cultural Production and Social Justice Research Group within the German section of Modern and Medieval Language and Linguistics. Her current PhD research examines language, culture, and social justice as related to minoritised languages, and applies knowledge of linguistic and social justice, sociolinguistics, intercultural communication, artificial intelligence, and technology.
She earned a master’s degree in Intercultural Communication and a bachelor’s degree in Journalism. Prior to pursuing her PhD in humanities, she was a senior scientist and technology specialist with special emphases on cybersecurity, neuroscience, and complex system design. She was also an entrepreneur and non-profit / charity leader.
Kim is thrilled and grateful to be studying under the expert and ethical supervision of Professor Sarah Colvin and advisor Professor Hugues Azérad.
