About
Yury received his Bachelor’s degree in Fundamental and Computational Linguistics from HSE University in 2023 (with distinction), and his MPhil in Theoretical and Applied Linguistics by thesis from the University of Cambridge in 2024.
Alongside his research in phonetics and phonology, he enjoys carrying out linguistic fieldwork (most recently on Pamir and Caucasian languages, focusing on minority Iranian varieties) and developing digital language resources such as linguistic databases and dictionaries. Examples of his work as a web developer include pamiri.online — a collection of dictionaries and NLP tools for Pamir languages — and OnLex (onlex.online), a dictionary‑writing system.
Yury welcomes collaboration suggestions in phonetic/phonological language documentation, phonological typology, or digital language resource development.
