Filmmaker in residence: Joanna Hogg

The Centre for Film and Screen at the University of Cambridge is proud to host Joanna Hogg as its first Filmmaker in Residence in May 2016. Joanna Hogg is one of the leading contemporary British filmmakers working in the tradition of narrative art cinema. She is both a complex formalist and a keen observer of social life. Hogg will be holding a sequence of master classes at the Centre, and a symposium on her work will be held on 18 May. The Picturehouse Cinema collaborates with the Centre in hosting a complete retrospective screening of Hogg’s three feature films as well as screening of her first film, which stars Tilda Swinton, and variety of her short films and works for television.
