Just published: a special issue of Digital Philology: A Journal of Medieval Cultures guest edited by Mark Chinca and Sean Curran. Entitled Unlikening Translation: Words, Sounds, Events, Things, the collection explores the potential of Walter Benjamin’s famous essay “The Task of the Translator” for understanding the many kinds of linguistic, medial, and cultural transfer that went by the name translatio in the Middle Ages.
