Cambridge Occasional Papers in Linguistics (COPiL)
NOTE: The MMLL website is currently being refurbished, so some of our pages may be down. You can access previous issues here https://web.archive.org/web/20251108193311/https://www.mmll.cam.ac.uk/cambridge-occasional-papers-linguistics/all-volumes .
The Cambridge Occasional Papers in Linguistics (COPiL) is an online journal of working papers organised by graduate students from the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics (TAL).
We publish working papers by students, researchers and university staff related to any area of linguistics. COPiL is an ideal forum for disseminating and receiving feedback for pre-print work. It is expected that authors will ultimately submit their work to a peer-reviewed journal or other similar publication. Papers published in COPiL are available for download here.
COPiL also hosts proceedings of workshops and conferences associated with TAL (Volume 8). An archive of handouts from talks can be found on the TAL Talks Archive page.
Our latest volume is available for download: Volume 17 (June 2025)
The call for papers for Volume 18 now open.
For information about our LaTeX crash course, please see our events page.
