Teaching interests:
Over the years have taught, supervised and examined a wide range of Russian language papers , including Russian Oral, Use of Russian, Russian Through Audio-Visual, Translation from and into Russian, supervised Year Abroad Translation Projects and Dissertations.
Have served as External Examiner for Russian for a number of UK universities, member of the working group for Teaching Slavic Languages for Academic Purposes, invited assessor for Russian for Eton College and Cambridge International Examinations.
Particular interests: use of contemporary media in language teaching at various levels (from Ab Initio to Advanced), teaching literary translation from and into a native language.

Recent research projects:
Apart from translation studies (please see recent publications below), areas of research interests include archive work, specifically, with previously unpublished correspondence of N.K. and N.I.Kulmans to Ivan and Vera Bunins from the collection of Russian Archive in Leeds.
