Call for Applications:  Introduction to Crimean Tatar Language and Culture Workshop 19-20 May 2016 University of Cambridge

The Crimean Tatars are the indigenous people of Crimea, a Sunni Muslim Turkic-speaking nation whose khanate ruled the Black Sea peninsula and its environs for over three centuries. On 19-20 May, Cambridge Ukrainian Studies is hosting a two-day ‘Introduction to Crimean Tatar Language and Culture’ for qualified postgraduate students, which will consist of ten language lessons and lectures in literature and music.
