In autumn 2011, Cambridge Ukrainian Studies collaborated with the Royal Court Theatre and the British Council on the translation of a project involving Ukrainian and Georgian playwrights.

Rory Finnin, Lecturer in Ukrainian Studies, also participated in a discussion with Edward Lucas, Masha Karp and Bridget Kendall on 'Europe's New East' at the Royal Court. The event explored concepts of nationality and identity in Ukraine, Russia, Poland and the Baltic States.
