Two from MMLL Italian win MHRA research fellowships

We are happy to share the news that Dr Elena Sottilotta and Dr Michele Maiolani have won research scholarships with the Modern Humanities Research Association.

Elena is currently an AHRC Postdoctoral Fellow. Her project is Women Writing Folklore: Politics of Folk and Fairy-tale Collections from Italian and Irish Islands (1870-1920).

Michele has completed his PhD, which concentrated on research on the influence of the anthropological method on Italian 20th-century novel.

The highly competitive MHRA research scholarships are designed to support postdoctoral researchers for twelve months as they turn their thesis into a book.

Congratulations both!
