German Screen Studies Network awarded DAAD Funding

Dr Annie Ring and colleagues at King’s College London, University of Leeds, University of Southampton and University of Duisburg-Essen were awarded 64,000 Euro from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) to fund a German Screen Studies Network, including a symposium on German-language film wich was held in Cambridge in July 2015.

The Network aims to sustain and develop research into German cinema in the UK, and to promote the reception of German film by a public audience and by schools. It is led by Prof Erica Carter (King’s College), its Co-Investigators are Dr Chris Homewood, University of Leeds; Dr Annie Ring, Emmanuel College, Cambridge; Dr Claudia Sandberg, University of Southampton, and project partner is Prof Dr Alexandra Pontzen, University of Duisburg-Essen.
