Research
Engaging with theories related to minor literature, migration, translation and linguistics, my current project centres on bi/multilingual aesthetics and the impact of translingual mixture in texts by German-Spanish and German-Portuguese bilingual writers. I am interested in the effects of cross-linguistic contact and multimodal writing approaches on the depiction of contemporary sociopolitical issues related to gender, sexuality, class and race, as well as the ways in which such mixture impacts the power dynamics between author and reader.
