I am a PhD student at the department of Modern and Medieval languages. I was brought up in Lahore, Pakistan and received my first bachelor’s in economics from Kinnaird College for Women, Lahore. I obtained my second bachelor’s degree from Bard College Berlin, Germany. After four years of liberal arts education in Berlin I continued at the department of Education in Cambridge University, where I completed my MPhil in Arts Education. I am fluent in Urdu, English and German.
My research explores the social identity of Turkish-German secondary school students in Berlin through an encounter with Goethe’s Faust.
