Part Ia

Structure of the course

There are two pathways through Part IA. One is for those who have never studied Italian before - or only to an 'introductory' level - and one for those who already have A Level or the equivalent when they come to Cambridge.

Option A (ab initio) students take papers ITA1, ITA2 and ITA3.

Option B (post-A Level) students take papers ITB1, ITB2 and It.1.

Each of these papers is described in detail on a separate page. Please use the buttons to the left to navigate to each of the relevant pages.
