FUNDS

The Robert Daglish Fund was established 'for the encouragement of Russian studies' from a bequest from Mrs Inna Daglish in memory of her husband, a former student at Jesus. The purpose of the Fund is to 'make grants or loans to undergraduate members of the University to assist them in travelling to or in Russia in connection with their studies in the University'. Students who wish to apply for grants are required to complete an application form. The managers of the Fund have decided that the priority will be given to assist First-year students of Russian wishing to take approved Vacation courses in Russia.

Please request an application form from the Slavonic Studies Office and submit it by 1 May.

Cambridge Ukrainian Studies Travel Grants are available to students in Papers SL2, SL 9 and SL 10 who wish to travel to Ukraine over the Christmas or Easter vacations to improve their Ukrainian language skills and explore Ukrainian culture and its cultural inheritance first-hand. Students specifically exploring Ukrainian language, history or culture through the framework of other Slavonic Section papers will also be considered.  These are a select number of small grants primarily to help defray the cost of airfare to and from Ukraine.

Cambridge Polish Studies Travel Grants are available to undergraduate and graduate students who wish to travel to Poland over the Christmas, Easter or Long vacations to improve their Polish language skills and explore contemporary Polish culture first-hand. These are a select number of small grants primarily to help defray the cost of airfare to and from Poland.
