Undergrad Jessica Fitch-Bunce Wins Russian-Language Essay Competition

Jessica Fitch-Bunce, an undergraduate in the Department of Slavonic Studies, has received a first-place award for her Russian-language essay on the topic of ‘Studying in Russia and What It Means for My Career’. The award secures a place for her to study at Novosibirsk University during her Year Abroad. You can read her essay here. ‘To succeed in learning [the Russian language],’ she writes, ‘you must have a sense of purpose, attention to detail and a willingness to plunge into the unknown.’ Congratulations, Jessica!
