Congratulations to our lecturer Maite Conde whose book Foundational Films. Early Cinema has been awarded the Richard Wall Memorial Prize (finalist) by the Theatre and Film Library of the United States. Maite’s book also received the Antonio Candido prize (honorable mention) by the Brazil Section of the international Latin American Studies Association.
