Felipe Schuery graduated in Publishing from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and worked as an editor in the Brazilian publishing market. He has a Master’s degree in Literature and Discourse Analysis from Université Blaise-Pascal (France), where he was the Portuguese Leitor from the Instituto Camões during 2011/12. In 2014, Felipe became the first University of Cambridge Language Teaching Officer in Portuguese. He was a Senior Language Teaching Officer from 2018 to 2022, and is now an Associate Professor in Portuguese. He has been a TROPO-UK (Association of Teachers and Researchers of Portuguese Language in the UK) officer since 2019. Felipe was awarded with the Pilkington Prize 2023 for excellence in teaching and has been nominated for the Student-Led Teaching Awards in 2020-2021 and in 2021-2022 by the Cambridge Student Union. He is interested in Children’s Literature and has published Ralf & Demi – Uma história de duas metades (Quatro Cantos, 2013) and Mar de Plástico (Cria, 2023).
