Research Topic: Comparative syntax in a diachronic perspective

 

About Me

Elena is a first year PhD candidate coming from Italy.

She completed her BA in Languages, Literatures, and Intercultural Studies at the University of Florence (2014-2017).

As for the MA, she graduated in Language and Mind: Linguistics and Cognitive Studies from University of Siena (2018-2021).

She undertook the Erasmus project during her MA, spending one term at the University of Cambridge for thesis research under the supervision of prof. Ian Roberts.

At the University of Siena, she was supervised by Prof Luigi Rizzi.

 

Research

Elena’s research consists in the diachronic application of the Parametric Comparison Method, analysing thus the parametric differences and similarities between Latin and modern Romance languages.
