Melendra Sanders

Melendra is the Research Support Librarian and is happy to assist with queries about publishing, Open Access, research data management, Symplectic, bibliometrics and any other research-related issues. She also manages the German and Film Studies collections, so send her any suggestions for purchases or any questions about accessing resources in these areas.

Melendra is passionate about equity and is always happy to discuss strategies for making libraries and library collections more accessible and more diverse. She also enjoys exploring Cambridge on foot or via bicycle when the weather allows. When the weather doesn’t allow, she enjoys reading and crafting. She’s dabbled in ceramics, knitting, crocheting, 3D printing, and organic gardening. Melendra is originally from the USA where she worked in public libraries as a children’s and teen librarian, a field that involves significantly more crafting!
