The Faculty is proud to share that Dr Abhimanyu Sharma's recent work on India’s language policy for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community has been featured in press around the world. His paper calls on the Indian Government to recognise Indian Sign Language as an official language, citing the improvements this would make to the lives and experiences of an estimated 18 million people. For more information about the work and its recommendations there is an interview with Dr Sharma on the Research website.
