Languages, Power and Cultures (Trinity College) and Langevity (Emmanuel College) programmes open for applications

Do you know a young person who would benefit from a free academic enrichment programme in the humanities subjects?

Applications are open for the Languages, Power and Cultures Programme at Trinity College, aimed at students in their penultimate school year: Year 12 (England and Wales), 13 (Northern Ireland), S5 (Scotland) or equivalent. All students interested in languages, literature, classics or history can register for video-based sessions, with pre-session reading provided; selected students will be invited for mentorship from current Trinity College undergraduates (3, 17 and 31 March at 4pm), and 50 students will be invited for a one-night residential taster (9-10 April). More than 70% of Year 12 students who participated in the 2023 programme, and applied to Cambridge, received offers. Applications close on at midday on 10 February 2025.

Applications are also open for Emmanuel College's Langevity programme, for students from all UK schools in Years 10, 11 and 12 (or equivalent). Langevity 2025 will include a webinar series (January-March, covering six language groups, linguistics, and history with a language); a free residential in April; and a webinar in September 2025, which will include admissions guidance, open to students who are applying to relevant courses at Cambridge for 2026 entry. Students do not have to be taking a language at A-Level and all the webinars are designed for complete beginners in the languages offered. Applications close at midday on 13 January 2025.
