Hannah Shakespeare, who graduated last year, won the Ann Waterfall Award 2019 for the best student of Portuguese in the UK, the most prestigious prize of its kind for students doing Lusophone studies. The award is funded by the Anglo-Portuguese Society and supported by Canning House.

The award was presented 19th May 2020, during a virtual ceremony in the presence of Portugal’s ambassador in the UK.
