Events for prospective students considering an application to Cambridge next September/October:

Open Days

Every year we invite potential students of all ages and backgrounds to join us at MMLL on our Open Days. These events are free to attend and are the perfect opportunities to learn more about what it's like to study languages, to get a taste of Cambridge life and to ask questions. Find out when our next Open Days are scheduled and how to book your place.

Oxford & Cambridge Student Conferences

Each March the Faculty of Modern and Medieval Languages and Linguistics takes part in the Oxford & Cambridge Student Conferences that take place around the country. These Conferences are free to attend and are aimed at Year 12 students (or equivalent) in the UK who are studying for their A Levels/IB (or equivalent) and who are beginning to consider their options for study beyond sixth form.

Details about the 2024 Student Conferences will be available soon.

Subject Masterclasses

The University's Subject Masterclasses offer Y12 students an opportunity to experience typical undergraduate teaching and to find out more about what it's like to be a student here. Each event includes two subject-specific sessions (including a mini lecture and an interactive, workshop-style session), an introduction to the admissions process and a Q&A session with current staff and students.

Please note that advance booking is essential for these events and there is a cost to attend. Funded places are available for eligible students.

College Subject Tasters

We will update this space when details of upcoming College Subject Tasters are released for 2024.

Events for Year 10/11 students:

The Subject Matters

The Subject Matters events provide Y10 and Y11 students with an introduction to university life and study, and help them to make informed A level subject choices.
