About: 

 

Theresa Lentfort obtained her Master of Education in German and Classical Philology at Münster University in 2018. She has been teaching German at universities in four different countries, including the National University of Uzbekistan in Tashkent and Yogyakarta State University in Indonesia, where she worked as a DAAD teaching assistant in 2016 and 2017. Before coming to Cambridge in 2018, she also delivered courses for advanced learners at Bocholt University of Applied Sciences in Germany in cooperation with WiPDaF Münster (Wissenschaftliche Partnerschaften Deutsch als Fremdsprache). She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). 

 

Teaching interests: 

 

As the DAAD Lector for German at St John’s, Sidney Sussex and Homerton College, Theresa Lentfort is teaching advanced grammar courses at the Section of German as well as German through the Media and Translation from English into German. She is also supervising the students throughout their undergraduate studies for their Speaking and Use of German, Translation into German as well as German Text and Culture papers.

 

Research interests: 

 

Her research interests are in the field of linguistics, didactics and foreign language acquisition.
