Norman MacColl Symposium 2017: Magical Dispossessions: Nature, Capital and Conflict in Colombia

This year’s Norman MacColl lecturer is the Colombian artist, Alberto Baraya. Please join us on 28th and 29th April for a unique series of speakers and presentations on landscape and literature, botany and politics as well as on post-conflict art, economics and public space, as these open up new angles on historic and contemporary questions surrounding nationhood and disposession.

Cambridge Undergraduate Conference in German Studies

The third Cambridge Undergraduate Conference in German Studies will take place on Saturday 11 February 2017 . The topic is Remembering and Forgetting in the German-Speaking World. The 2017 keynote speaker will be Dr Hubertus Knabe, Director of Berlin-Hohenschönhausen, a museum and memorial in a notorious former Stasi torture prison.
