Phoebe Taylor Prize established to honour memory of language student

The Spanish and Portuguese Section is honoured to announce the establishment of the Phoebe Taylor Prize for the Best Spanish or Portuguese Translation Project, which will be awarded from this academic year. The prize has been made possible thanks to a generous donation by Phoebe Taylor’s family.

Statement of the Slavonic Studies Section on Russia's invasion of Ukraine

We condemn the Kremlin's ongoing invasion of Ukraine unequivocally and in the strongest terms. We express our solidarity with the people of Ukraine and call on the international community to support Ukraine in the face of this unprovoked war of aggression.
