Silke Mentchen (from our German Section) joined colleagues from Kings' College London, Bristol University and Leeds University as well as a team of teachers from St Paul's School for Girls on Saturday, 27 January for a German Study Day.

Year 12 and Year 13 students (approx. 90 students in total) from 19 different schools, including both independent and state-maintained schools, attended a full day with sessions on translation, the GDR, Gender inclusive use of language, history of German, and seminars on, for example, listening comprehension and giving presentations.

Sandra Barth, from St Paul's, has been organising these days for a number of years and knows how effective they can be.
