Cathy Wardle
Cathy is the Library Assistant at the MMLL Library and is responsible for reader services, social media and exhibitions. Cathy is developing the library’s student-led collection covering wellbeing, study skills and world fiction amongst other topics, as well as curating the library's new Translation Studies section. You can contact her if you have suggestions for either collection.
Cathy was an undergraduate and postgraduate in the MMLL Faculty, completing her BA in French, Spanish and Catalan in 2021 and the ELAC MPhil by Thesis in 2022, where she wrote on itinerant aristocratic communities in seventeenth-century French women’s fiction and correspondence. She has previously worked as a translator and has temporarily covered roles in the MMLL Library looking after the Spanish, Latin American, Portuguese, Catalan and Italian collections.
