The Italian Section is delighted to congratulate Eleonora Serra (PhD in Italian, 2019) for the award of the 2020 Vivien Law Prize for the best essay on any topic within the history of linguistics by a student within 5 years of their PhD.   

The award is made by the Henry Sweet Society for the History of Linguistic Ideas in honour of Vivien Law FBA (1954-2002) who was Reader in the History of Linguistic Thought at Cambridge (further details at: https://www.henrysweet.org/news/vivien-law-prize-winners-2020
