New podcast on language and rhythm

We are delighted to announce the launch of a new podcast, Language and Rhythm, made with Cambridge TV and funded by the British Academy and the Schröder Fund, University of Cambridge.

This podcast explores the role of rhythm in our lives, and especially in language. It builds on research by Dr Charlotte Lee (German) and Dr Timothy Chesters (French). Join them and presenter Hannah Morrison for a tour which takes listeners from nursery rhymes via sport (yes, sport!) to poetry in languages from around the world. Each episode contains some content in German and French, plus interviews with guests from a variety of fields, including neuroscience, acting and teaching. Chapter 3 features an interview with award-winning German poet Jan Wagner.

You can listen to the full series or watch a taster video.
