We are delighted to announce that Professor Sarah Colvin be giving the inaugural lecture in new series of talks at the Literaturhaus München.
Professor Colvin's lecture Literature in Moderne und Gegenwart (Literature in modern and present times) will kick off the series of topics and developments in literature and the arts.
Professor Colvin will discuss the fundamental question of what "literature” is, and how we recognise it, when it stages and subverts the familiar at the same time. Readers feel, as literary critic Harold Bloom once put it, “strange at home.” The lecture will show how innovation is based solely on form and derive insights and suggestions for our social interaction.
