About:

Beginning his studies in 2017, Robbie now holds both a BA and an MPhil from the University of Cambridge. He has spent several summers teaching English in Japan and has also worked as a translation assistant in Germany.

Research interests:

Robbie researches 19th and 20th century psychological and existential thought in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. He is particularly interested in questions of meaning and purpose in life and the methods different thinkers propose for attaining them.

Recent research projects:

In 2021, Robbie worked with Oxford University’s UNIQ+ programme to help digitise a series of 16th century pamphlets. Details of the project can be found here and a digital version of the Tudor pamphlet ‘An A.B.C. for Chyldren’ that he edited is available through Taylor Editions.
