Discovering Russia’s Nineteenth-Century Women Writers

In this talk, Dr Anna Berman introduces Russia’s great women writers from the nineteenth century who have dropped out of literary history: Evdokiya Rostopchina, Karolina Pavlovna, Evgeniya Tur, and the “Russian Brontës”—Nadezhda, Sofiya, and Praskoviya Khvoshchinskaya.
