Hannah Shakespeare, who graduated last year, won the Ann Waterfall Award 2019 for the best student of Portuguese in the UK, the most prestigious prize of its kind for students doing Lusophone studies.

The award was presented yesterday during a virtual ceremony in the presence of Portugal’s ambassador in the UK.
