About: 

Songqiao completed his MPhil in Theoretical and Applied Linguistics at the University of Cambridge (2021-2022) and BA in English at Shanghai International Studies University (2017-2021). His current PhD study, in the field of experimental semantics and pragmatics, focuses on the typology of metonymy relations and their underlying features for a psycholinguistic investigation between neurodivergent and neurotypical people.  He is also interested in the processing of other figurative devices (e.g., metaphor and irony) from a developmental and neurodiversity perspective.
