About Me

Yibing is currently a second-year PhD student in the Phonetics Lab. Her research interests are primarily in tones and tone sandhi processes, particularly those in Chinese languages.

Yibing’s PhD project focuses on the tone sandhi processes in Chinese Wu dialects, with an aim to not only capture the systematic rules/constraints in sandhi processes, but also to explore their correlations with morphosyntactic structures, as well as contrastive focus.
